An endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure to examine a person’s digestive tract. An endoscope is a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it. Guided by the hand of a specifically trained medical professional, a doctor is able to get an clear picture of the condition of your digestive tract.
WHAT IS AN ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASONOGRAPHY (EUS)?
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) combines the use of an endoscope and an ultrasound device to help a doctor obtain images of the digestive tract and its surrounding tissues and organs. This will allow your doctor to determines and evaluate any abnormalities, such as growths or lesions detected prior CT scan or MRI.
