Poisonous Perfume Sample Hoax

POISONOUS PERFUME SAMPLE HOAX
We were informed that the “news” that was sent out by “Gleneagles Hospital Limited” on the supposed death of seven women who inhaled or were exposed to perfume samples, has surfaced again over WhatsApp and other social media channels. We want to take this opportunity to reassure you that this message is a hoax. In fact, this hoax has been around since 2001 and has its origins in another story about a woman who was supposedly poisoned by perfume samples just after the 9/11 attacks.

We regret if this hoax has caused any apprehension and doubt. We would also like to categorically say that this email did not originate from our Hospital and / or any of our employees, current or otherwise.

We would really appreciate it if you could also inform anyone whom you know to have received or been affected by this false news, that it is a hoax after all.

We welcome you to verify with the following online sites that challenges circulating news.
